Inafune eyes Chinese market

Closing an insightful essay on the current state of the Japanese videogame industry – of which he is a long-standing critic – Capcom’s former head of R&D Keiji Inafune reveals that it is Chinese, not North American success that he is seeking with his two new companies, Comcept and Intercept. “It may be too late – or too hard – to tackle the US market at this point,” he writes. “The next big market is China. There I see many opportunities. My sights are on Asia.”
