PEGI Ratings Coming April 2011

The Video Standards Council has confirmed that the UK implementation of the Pan European Game Information (PEGI) ratings system won’t occur until April 1, 2011.
Until that date – over a year after the government chosen to adopt PEGI as the sole age ratings system for videogames in the UK on the basis that it offered more protection to children than the existing two tier classification system - the legal standard for 18-rated games will continue to be the BBFC.
